LET'S TALK ABOUT GROWING UP IN THE 90s

Growing up in the 90s was no easy task, especially for kids who at the time weren’t considered "normal."
The satanic panic had arrived in Latin America, bringing with it a wave of burnings, TV series bans, and punishments for being caught reading... superhero magazines.
They burned Pepsi Card collections, banned us from watching shows like *Saint Seiya* or *Dragon Ball*, and, even worse, we were criticized for wearing a Chicago Bulls T-shirt.
While many adults at the time believed everything the news said, we had to hide to watch *The Simpsons* or *Sailor Moon*.
Our moms would gather with other moms to exchange information about which series were harmful to their kids.
But despite all that, it was a wonderful time that I now look back on with nostalgia.
We developed camaraderie because we would go to a friend’s house to watch a show that was forbidden for us but allowed for them.
As a child, I never had a Super Nintendo, but I would always go to my friend David’s house to play with the one his grandma had given him. (He still has it.)
Growing up in the 90s was magical. We made friends we will never forget.
We played hide and seek at night, at niiiight.
And despite the hardships many of us faced, we can say we had an incredible childhood.
Because even after all these years, I still remember it with wonder.
